Women are naturally cyclical... our hormones cycle every 29 days... driving our mood, energy levels and even our physical appearance. Nature also operates within cycles... the lunar phases are very similar to our menstrual cycles and seasons bring energy and weather that drive our mood, energy levels and physical appearance just like our internal cycles...

The world is largely organized in such a way that we are expected to show up the same way every day... but women aren't really built that way. We are built to naturally reflect our inner cycles and embrace the energy of nature. Once I realized that I could take advantage of these cyclical energies... I could schedule myself tasks or jobs in accordance with when my energy would be best suited for that task. It also offered me an opportunity to give myself grace and rest when my cycles dictate rest.

Once you understand the basics, it's an easy way to frame our natural connections with nature and with each other.

Some of my favorite resources are:

RED School: An online resource that teaches women about internal and external cycles. They offer several free masterclasses if you want to dig deeper.

Women Who Run With The Wolves: A great book about the cyclical and instinctive nature of "uncivilized" women.

Do Less by Kate Nortrup: A fantastic book that discusses using your natural internal cycles and seasonal nature to plan work and projects.

Feminine Genius by Liyana Silver: An excellent resource to reframe our feelings about our worth based on social expectations in a world that isn't designed for women.
